Yummy Cake Balls…

I am always looking for creative ways to use items in my stockpile. When I got this recipe from my friend Jamie a few months ago, I knew it would definitely be items I would have on hand. These are so yummy.

You will need three ingredients: a box cake mix, a tub of frosting, and chocolate for dipping (two bags of chocolate chips weren’t quite enough).

Bake the cake according to the directions on the box. Allow it to cool and then crumble into a large bowl. Add the tub of frosting to the bowl and mix until incorporated into the cake mix. Form balls and chill in the freezer for an hour.

Prepare your chocolate for dipping. If you’re preparing it in the microwave, make sure that you stir the chocolate every 30 seconds. Otherwise the chocolate will never look like it melted and you will ruin it (experience speaking here). Dip and place onto wax paper. After allowing the cake balls to set, dive in and enjoy.
