The U.S. government's debt limit is up to 16 trillion dollars, and rising. This post (and video) will help you understand the seriousness of this problem!Ok, I admit it! There’s a lot that I don’t understand about our government. But, one thing I do understand is the seriousness of our nation’s debt. I believe we’re now up to 16 trillion (yes, with a T) dollars, and it’s still growing. Just a few days ago Congress raised the debt ceiling. That’s crazy folks!

If we don’t start doing something about this mounting debt, like the video shows, our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be paying for this debt! Now, I don’t know about you, but I have no interest in paying for my grandparent’s debt. Do you? It’s just not fair!

Let’s not point fingers at where the debt came from, but instead start doing something about this problem. I mean, if Trent and I can work a budget every week and live within our means, why can’t the government?
