This DIY Ribbon Bookmark is a fabulous gift that won’t break the bank. Plus, this is one of those DIY crafts that’s perfect for those of us that don’t consider ourselves crafty people!
The most time consuming part of this project was picking out which beads to use. Hobby Lobby has some great sales and I shopped for these when their beads were 50% off. These items are also available at most craft stores so don’t worry if you don’t have a Hobby Lobby in your area.
I used Hobby Lobby’s weekly 40% off coupon on the ribbon making it $2.39. The beads were $.74 each after the 50% off sale. To save even more, look for packages that have more than one bead. In all, these bookmarks cost around $1 each!
I chose ribbon that had a thicker edge so that it wouldn’t unravel.
Cut your ribbon 30-35 inches long for each bookmark. Simply thread the ribbon through the bead.
Tie a knot close to the end of the ribbon. It definitely looks a lot better if you don’t tie the knot at the very end. And there you have it, a beautiful bookmark that your book worms will love!
