Trent and I recently found ourselves heading to Chattanooga for his work. It’s been forever since I’ve been to Chattanooga but this is my first overnight trip. I was pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to The Chattanoogan.
Wow, what a beautiful facility! If you look close you can see the fdireplace! Even during the middle of the afternoon it was lit – a definite plus for me!
In the afternoons the light streams into this beautiful lobby and at night it’s lit with the ambiance of the fireplace!
If you’re like me, there’s always a bit of anticipation when you enter your hotel room for the first time. I love to see how hotels decorate and I was excited by what I found in our room at The Chattanoogan. I loved the bright colors of the bedding – they sure do pop don’t they? And, yes, the bed was comfy!
As I began taking pictures Trent pointed out the detail of the pillows on the bed. We were both intrigued at how they mixed it up by turning the three white pillows in the opposite direction. (Don’t tell Trent but I was shocked that he noticed!)
This mirror over the desk had me at hello! There were beautiful pieces like this throughout the entire hotel!
This was the view from our room.
Attached to the hotel is a conference center. Isn’t it beautiful? Even if you’re with a big crowd there are plenty of places to sit, chat and get away!
The Chattanoogan is in the hubbub of the city but it doesn’t feel like it. The hotel, conference center and parking garage are in a U shape and it gives the feeling of being tucked away! I loved it!
In the center of the buildings is a park area. Even though we were in the middle of the city with all kinds of traffic this was a quiet place!
While Trent was in his meetings I sat in this park area and read for quite a while! It was oh so refreshing!
And who doesn’t love a fire pit? After dinner one Trent and I sat around this fire pit and just relaxed! There’s just something about sitting around a fire pit on a crisp fall night!
If you don’t want to sit around the fire, they have plenty of other seating where you can relax and enjoy the fresh air!
The Chattanoogan thought of every last detail, even down to their Coke machines. (If you’re not aware, Chattanooga is known for their Chattanooga Choo-Choo.)
The next time you’re near Chattanooga, Tennessee you should consider staying at The Chattanoogan! We had a blast during our visit!
