Today as we take a break from our normal posts, I encourage you to be still for just a few minutes and take some time to meet with God. God is all around us; we just have to take the time to experience Him. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Two things my wife loves are reading books and dogs, so when she can find a good book about dogs she truly enjoys it. She recently read a book by a man known as a ‘dog whisperer’ –someone who has an uncanny knack for working with dogs. In the book he stated that most dogs need at least one hour of exercise before their owners can get them to become obedient and moldable to their master’s will. That made me question (and I have some extra time to do that because some days it is my responsibility to exercise our dog) what exercise I need to do before I can become obedient to my Master’s will. I think the answer is found in today’s verse -PRAISE.
But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. My mouth
will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I know
not its measure. ~ Psalm 71:14-15
