Today as we take a break from our normal posts, I encourage you to be still for just a few minutes and take some time to meet with God. God is all around us; we just have to take the time to experience Him. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to, “Be still and know that I am God.”
There are times when we have to make tough decisions. We come to a crossroad and, instead of choosing the easy route, we take the hard way. It could be a change in career or relationships. It may mean going against popular opinion to stand up for morality. We’ve all had these choices to make, but we have to do what’s right.
That’s when it’s good to remember the choice Jesus made. He knew that in order to restore the relationship between mankind and God, His life would have to be sacrificed. Though it was a tough choice, He made the decision to endure the cross for us. Just because it was right, the lashes and crucifixion weren’t any less agonizing.
If you’re standing at the crossroad of a tough choice, prayerfully consider your options. If necessary, disuss it with a strong Christian friend or pastor. Though your decision may not be easy, it can be the right one.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrews 12:2
