Super Simple Shepherd’s Pie…This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure policy for more details.
My hubby is a meat and potatoes guy. The first time I made this I was using up some leftovers that were in the fridge Trent raved about it and it’s bee a staple ever since. Please keep in mind that this is not a traditional shepherd’s pie – so you could really add anything you’d like to this and it would taste great!
Brown a pound of ground meat. I used turkey but you can use whatever you’d like or whatever you have on hand. Add desired spices (salt, pepper, dash of paprika – you get the idea!)
Top with a bag of frozen veggies (straight from the freezer). I like to use the mixed veggies for a good variety. You could also use canned veggies (if so, you won’t need to cook as long).
Top with mashed potatoes. I used two bags of instant potatoes. You can also use leftover mashed potatoes! Bake for 20 minutes at 350.
Top with shredded cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
