Restaurant Style Sauteed MushroomsThis post may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure policy for more details.
If you’re like me you’ve seen sauteed mushrooms on the menus at the restaurants. They’re actually quite tasty – and expensive.
I thought I’d give it a shot and see if I could make them. After all, you can get mushrooms for pretty cheap! Slicing the mushrooms didn’t take very long at all. (Of course, you could also buy them pre-sliced.) I can’t believe how easy these were to make, and oh so tasty! Why haven’t I made these before now?
1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup water, as needed
- Wash and slice mushrooms and place in a skillet.
- Add vinegar and sugar (you could also add minced garlic if you’d like).
- Saute mushrooms until tender. If they begin to dry out, add water as needed.
- Add soy sauce and lemon juice, heat for a few minutes, and serve immediately.
I served these as a side with roast and it made enough for both of us to have one serving. So yummy!
