I’m happy to report that these little Oven Fried Pickles are pretty good, especially if you’re trying to watch your caloric intake. They’ll definitely curb your craving for fried pickles in a pinch. I wouldn’t recommend making this for a large crowd (it’s fairly time consuming to dip each pickle) but it will work great for your family!
Oven Fried Pickles
- 1 jar pickle slices
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (I didn’t have this so I improvised with Greek seasoning – stop laughing)
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
- Ranch dressing for dipping
Heat the oven to broil. Whisk together the eggs and flour. Add Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, and pepper and mix well.
Place the bread crumbs in a shallow dish or bowl. Dunk each pickle slice into the egg mixture, then dredge it in the bread crumbs.
Place the coated pickles on a rack set above a baking sheet and sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Place pan in the middle rack of the oven and broil for about 3 minutes on each side.
Serve with Ranch dressing.

Yum! I will have to try these. I L-O-V-E pickles. In fact my first sentence, according to my mom, was “I want a pickle.” HA! Thanks for linking up to Pin For the Wednesday! Hope you come back next week.
Hi Jenny! If you love pickles then you’re going to love this recipe.
Thanks for hosting the link up to Pin for the Wednesday!
I love fried pickles and am supposed to be making some next weekend with a friend, I use crushed pretzels for my crust but never tried to bake them.
Crushed pretzels sound like a great alternative! Thanks for stopping by!
