A few weeks ago I shared my Christmas decorations with you! One of the fun things about putting the ornaments on my Christmas tree is the fact that most of them tell a story. You see, as along as I can remember my mom has given us an ornament every year for Christmas. These aren’t just any old ornaments. She puts a lot of thought into our ornaments, even picking ones that remind us of something we did that year!
I thought it might be fun to share a few of my favorite ornaments with you. Some are from my mom and some are just, well, special to me! Whatdya say…let’s have a look!
This was my very first Christmas ornament!
Did you ever make any of these egg ornaments? You’d poke a hole in each end and then blow the insides out. We glued on pictures from magazines and such and then coated the whole thing with sprinkles.
This was the year that I went to Hawaii to babysit for a family! Man, what a beautiful trip. I hope to go back there someday!
Yep, you guessed it! I was in the choir for a few years. And what a blast it was!
There were a couple years where money was tight so instead of buying gifts I cross-stitched ornaments. It was a lot of work but I love how they turned out.
And, this was the year that I started writing at Thrifty T’s Treasures! (My mom always adds the year to our ornaments…it’s on the back of this one!)
It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since we’ve paid off our house! I’m so proud of us!
I love looking at other people’s Christmas trees and gandering at their decorations. How do you decorate your tree?
