It Is Well With My Soul Wall Art - Not only is this phrase a beautiful hymn, but I chose this phrase because it has significant meaning to me!

I have been waiting forever to share this post with you. Not because this project has been finished for a while, but because I’ve been trying to decide what to put on this wall above our kitchen table for years. Yes, years!

Ever since my nephew Jacob and I removed the wallpaper from the kitchen, this wall has been bare. I’ve toyed around with different ideas but never settled on anything until I saw the phrase It Is Well with My Soul on Pinterest.

This phrase is not only the title of a beautiful old hymn, but it his valuable meaning to me!

Over 10 years ago when I was going through my divorce, they played this hymn at my church. I remember breaking down in tears as we were singing. I teared up because letting go of control and choosing to say it is well with my soul isn’t an easy thing to do. However, I knew that it was the only way I was going to make it through that difficult time. And with the Lord’s help, I did!

To this day, when I hear this beautiful hymn I’m reminded that I need to choose joy amidst difficult situations. I’m also reminded that the Lord is with me no matter what I face!

So there you have it – the back story to this beautiful piece of wall art!
