Feeling Overwhelmed???

As I speak with many of my new couponing friends, one thing that I hear them say is that this task is very overwhelming.  I want to encourage you to keep at it.  Couponing was extremely overwhelming for me when I first started.  An example I could give you would be of learning how to ride a bike.  When I was little I was so excited about taking off those training wheels. Then, when dad took them off and I was on my own it became a hard task.  I eventually figured it out and don’t even have to think about it now when I get on a bike.

If you’re overwhelmed or frustrated, I recommend that you take it slow.  Pick one store, learn their policies and the best way to get your grocery bill lower and stick with it.  Then, when you feel like you’re ready for another store, give it a try.  Don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to do everything at once. Trust me, I say this because I tried to do all  the stores at once.  I felt like the woman in this photo.

Another tip I could give you would be to ask questions.  I still have questions about couponing and I’ve been doing it for a year and a half.  I’ve always believed that the only stupid question is the one not asked.  So, leave a question and I’ll do my best to answer it for you.  If I don’t know the answer I’m sure there’s someone out there that does.

Keep your chin up and have fun while you’re couponing.  Like I always say, make it a game of seeing how much you can save.  I still come out of stores excited about how much I got and how little I paid.
