Blissdom Day #2This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure policy for more details.
Yesterday at Blissdom I attended workshops and today was the actual conference. Our opening keynote speaker was Brene’ Brown. She is an excellent speaker. One of the things she talked about is something that I struggle with, vulnerability. Many of us fear being seen for who we really are. My story is important because I’m important (God tell us that too, Psalm 139:14). So, I’m going to try to push through the awkward (for me) and open up a bit more in my blogging.
After Brene’ spoke we broke up into “tribes” (frugality, photography, techy, etc.) I will have to say that this was the most uncomfortable part of the day for me. We were asked to tell the group information about ourself. Now, if you know me at all you know that I do not like to talk in a group. In fact, it is one of my biggest fears. So, not only did I have to push through that fear but I also had to talk really loud because it was a large room with a lot of voices. It was intimidating being with the frugal bloggers because there’s a lot of us, plus there were some “big names” at my table.
All in all it was a great day and I learned some great information. I want to leave you with a photo of my parking charge. Let me just say, ouch! I think Opryland is trying to pay for their newly remodeled facility.
