The past two weeks have had highs and lows. The high was being able to hang out with family (see below).
The low was Princess giving me a bit of a scare because she was sick. I won’t go into too many details but after four nights of sleeping on the couch with her so she wouldn’t whine and keep us awake, plus taking her out to go potty every two hours, I’m so thankful that she’s feeling better! We’re both finally getting a full night’s sleep and back in our own beds. Woot!
Isn’t this the sweetest pic? If you couldn’t guess, Dalton loves his daddy! And Trent’s pretty fond of him too.
Fun With Family
My Georgia nephews were on Spring break last week so they came up to visit for a few days. I’m always so thankful to be able to spend time with my precious sister and her boys. What a great time together with family. There were even quite a few rousing rounds of Dutch Blitz!
I sure hope so because it’s not available for free anymore…but I’ll let you know about it next time it pops up! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to make (and how quickly it shipped)!
A few weeks ago I read this article about how a family has made 1 million dollars from the ads off of their YouTube channel which shares toy videos. I was so inspired by their story and racked my brain to come up with my own creative idea to try to join the bandwagon and make myself some cash. (I’ll try anything…once!)
Well, one day as I was reading a story to Dalton it hit me. He loves to be read to and I bet there are tons of kids out there that love it too (maybe their parents don’t take the time…or maybe they could sit there for hours listening to stories!)
So, I created my very own YouTube channel called Read Me Children’s Books to share children’s books on video. I added my very first video last week – Toy Boat and I’ve already recorded my second book (I just have to put the video together). Please stop by, check it out and share it!
I warned you that this was going to be random!
I finally bit the bullet and bought some new hot pads and kitchen towels. After leaving one of my hot pads on a warm kitchen burner I decided it was way past time. They had served me well for the past who knows how many years and it was time to let them go.
Raise your hand if you’re like me and bad about spending money on things that you need! I mean, it’s not like they even cost that much. I was just being cheap!
Dalton has started rolling over a lot and even scooting around. There’s no doubt about it, he loves being mobile.
He continues to sleep well at night…10 1/2 hours. The hard work of sleep training is paying off. I’m so thankful because there were definitely times when I wondered if it was worth it.
We rounded out the week by celebrating Easter and our risen Savior at church then heading to spend some time with Trent’s family.
Ok, I think I’ve caught you up for now!
What have you been up to the past couple weeks?
