A few weeks ago I knew it was time to veg on the couch and recharge my batteries. (Do you ever have those days?) I put Dalton down for his nap and decided to watch a movie. As I browsed Rainierland, I spotted Cinderella and had no doubt that was the movie for me. (I love girly chick flicks!)
We’ve all seen the classic Cinderella, but this adaptation brought it to life with “real people.” It was absolutely wonderful and the costumes were magnificent. If you’re looking for a feel good movie, I highly recommend this one! Plus you can watch it for free at Rainierland. What could be better than that?

Fall is here and that means warmer weather, which means it’s the perfect weather for a bonfire! (Fall’s weather is perfect for a bonfire, but if I’m being honest I love them any time of the year.)
I built our fire pit last year and am still super stoked about it. Sitting around the fire listening to the crackling wood and sounds of nature couldn’t be more relaxing to me.
Trent is so sweet. When the weekend rolls around and he knows I’ve had a hard day or week (or just need to relax) he’ll ask if I want him to make a bonfire for me. He’s the fire master and keeps it going for me!
My Guilt Free Shakes
After being without my guilt free shakes for about a month, I knew they had to make their way onto this month’s list of my favorite things. (We had a few other expenses in our budget that trumped my vanilla shake mix, and it’s my goal not to let that happen again. HA!)
What are guilt free shakes? Well, I’m glad you asked. :o) They are chock full of protein and over 20 non-gmo, vine-ripened fruits, veggies and superfoods. I call them guilt free shakes because they are beyond fabulous and I don’t have to feel guilty about drinking them like I would any other milkshake. (Plus they’re cheaper than a drive-thru milkshake!)
They’re great with almond milk, but I love that the flavor possibilites are endless. I’ve made pumpkin, blueberry, strawberry dreamsicle (my favorite) and more! This Chocolate, Peanut Butter Banana shake is Trent’s favorite, and what I send with him to work every morning.

Dalton’s Love For Reading
Thanks to the suggestion of my sister, I started reading to Dalton when he was six weeks old. He may not have been able to comprehend or understand what I was saying but he would sit there and look at the pictures.
His love for reading has grown and I read to him multiple times a day. Plus, I constantly find him digging in the book bin when he’s playing in his room!
