Dirty Diaper Bags
When I registered for baby gear last year I learned first-hand that there are a ton of different options to choose from. (And if I’m being honest it was a little overwhelming deciding what to/not to get.)
One item I knew I didn’t want was a Diaper Genie. I’m a bit of a minimalist and I didn’t want to make the room for it in Dalton’s room. (Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great product, I just knew that it wasn’t the product for us.)
My sister introduced me to these fabulous Munchkin dirty diaper bags. Not only can I take them in the diaper bag, but they’ll easily fit in one of Dalton’s dresser drawers and I can use them when needed!
I know the big question is whether or not they hide the smell of a dirty diaper, and I’m happy to report that, yes, they do!
My sister has found an off brand of the refills at her Dollar Tree, but my store doesn’t carry them.
Social Media Free Sundays
Yep, you read that right! When Sunday rolls around I don’t get on social media. You won’t find me perusing Facebook to see what’s going on in the world, liking my friend’s latest posts, or pinning my favorite new recipe or craft idea.
When I first started having social media free Sundays I thought it was going to be really hard. I mean, how in the world was I going to go an entire day without knowing what’s “going on.” Sounds ridiculous, right? I thought so too!
I’ve been enjoying social media free Sundays for quite a a while now. It’s fabulous to unplug and focus on the world that’s right in front of me. If you haven’t tried it, you should!
*I do use the messenger app on my phone to chat with people, but I consider that the same as texting. Also, if you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll likely see a few scheduled pins floating around.
My External Hard Drive
If you’re not backing up your computer, you should be. As much as I love technology sometimes it can be finicky and do its own thing. If I were to lose the information on my computer it would be a very sad day!
Not only is an external hard drive (I have a WD My Passport) great for backing up the information on my computer, but it’s also awesome to store pictures. As you can imagine, now that Dalton has joined our family we’re taking a lot more pictures.
Once a month I’ll back up my computer and also transfer the photos from my phone/camera to my hard drive. (Backing up my computer is as easy as plugging in the external hard drive and letting it do all the work!) This fabulous peace of equipment is a must have for me and gives me great peace of mind should something happen to my phone/computer in the future.
Our Morning Prayer Time
A few years ago Trent started praying with me before he left for work in the mornings, and he’s continued to this day!
This morning prayer time has become so special to me and I look forward to it every morning! There’s just something awesome about gathering as a family to pray before we disperse for the day.
I don’t know about you but there’s not much excitement in going to the mailbox these days. Typically the only thing we find in ours is junk and bills. But every now and then we’ll get free samples in the mail.
This past week we received these free k-cups. Now, I’m not a coffee drinker but Trent is. This little packet has at least a $2 value, not to mention the coupons that came with it. And while $2 may not sound like very much to you, a little bit here and there sure does add up over a year’s time.
There are a ton of different blogs to find free samples, but I generally find mine at Money Saving Mom or Freebie Shark! (If you’re going to sign up for free samples, I encourage you to create and use a freebies email account so that your everyday inbox doesn’t get cluttered with emails.)
